What you will do
As Assistant Manager, Health Records, you will help manage access to health records.
You will guide staff and improve processes for handling records requests.
You will:
coordinate staff to support the
safe
and lawful release of health records.
develop and maintain
clear
standards and processes for managing health record requests.
provide advice and reports on
complex
and sensitive information sharing matters.
work with health, legal and government partners to resolve issues and manage risks.
lead staff, build capability and support
efficient
and inclusive ways of working.
About you
A tertiary qualification in health records management, law or a related field is highly desirable.
Eligibility for membership of the Health Records Management Association of Australia is also highly desirable.
You should also have:
knowledge of the
Freedom of Information Act ****
, Health Records Act **** and Privacy and Data Protection Act ****.
experience giving
authoritative
advice on health records management policies and strategy.
strong
problem-solving
skills, with the ability to assess risks and improve processes.




the ability to communicate clearly, lead people and work well with diverse groups.
