We're looking for a motivated Trainee to join our Rutherford facility, where you'll receive full training, work alongside experienced professionals, and build a long-term career in a highly specialised manufacturing environment.

The Opportunity:
This is an entry-level Trainee Sewer/Upholsterer role focused on learning fabrication and sewing techniques used to produce industrial thermal blankets.
You'll gain practical skills with tools, materials, and machinery while contributing to the production of high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
Learn to fabricate thermal insulation blankets from drawings and templates
Cut, measure, and prepare materials accurately using appropriate tools
Operate industrial sewing machines under supervision and training
Assemble and sew components using correct stitching techniques
Handle fabrics, insulation fibres, and fastening components efficiently
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workspace
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets
Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are achieved
Requirements:
Solid willingness to learn hands‐on fabrication and sewing skills
Ability to follow instructions, plans, and basic drawings
Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Physical capability to perform manual tasks and stand for extended periods
Strong commitment to workplace safety and procedures
Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment
Preferred Experience (Not Essential – Training Provided)
Exposure to sewing, upholstery, or fabrication environments
Experience using hand tools or machinery
Previous work in manufacturing, trades, or workshop environments
Basic understanding of measurements, materials, or pattern cutting
