A.B. Paterson College invites applications from outstanding Physics Teachers to join our dynamic Secondary School team. This permanent, full-time position commences in January **** and offers the opportunity to teach motivated and engaged students within a high-performing learning environment.

What We're Looking For:
n
n
Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned Physics lessons across senior year levels that foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love of learning across relevant year levels.
n
Teach Physics in the senior years, preparing students for success in internal and external assessments and supporting achievement in line with QCAA requirements.
n
Develop students' understanding of scientific concepts through practical investigations, experimentation, and real-world applications of Physics.
n
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning setting that promotes student wellbeing, engagement, academic growth, and a culture of high expectations.
n
Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support individual learning goals.
n
Contribute to the College's pastoral care and co-curricular programs,



building strong relationships with students and supporting their holistic development.
n
Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, reflect on teaching practices, and contribute to a culture of innovation and professional excellence.

What We're Looking For:
n
n
Qualifications and experience to teach Physics across Years 7-12.
n
Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA senior Physics syllabus.
n
A passion for Physics education and the ability to inspire students to develop a deep understanding of scientific principles and inquiry.
n
A strong commitment to student wellbeing and academic excellence
n
A collaborative team member who contributes positively to College life
n
Someone who embraces innovation and continuous improvement in teaching practice
n
A strong background and sound knowledge of theAustralian Curriculum and QCAA syllabus
n
Up-to-date skills in the use of IT and other digital classroom resources
n
CurrentCPR and First Aid training, or willingness to obtain
n
Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration, or eligibility to obtain registration.
n
A commitment to the College's values, policies, and child safeguarding responsibilities.
