Position Overview:
Super paid on all hours worked & great $$$ rates paid
Roster:
5 days on : 2 days off
Office based with site travel as required
Hours:
8 hour days when office based, 12 hour days when site based

: 5+ months strong possibility to extend

Scope of Work:
Lead the development of the commissioning, startup, completions and operational readiness strategy.
Make sure commissioning requirements are captured in design, procurement, construction planning and project execution.
Develop resource plans, cost estimates, schedules and mobilisation plans that support the project delivery strategy.
Work with ESPs, Operations, Maintenance, Construction and vendors to make sure commissioning requirements are understood early and reflected in project deliverables.
Set up commissioning systems, completions processes, turnover strategies and handover requirements.
Take part in design reviews, constructability reviews, risk reviews and safety-in-design activities to help achieve safe, practical and operable outcomes.
Identify and manage commissioning risks, interfaces, dependencies and constraints, and work with the team to agree practical mitigation actions.
Provide regular updates and recommendations to project leadership on commissioning readiness, resourcing, schedule impacts and key priorities.
Support alignment between Project,
Operations and Maintenance teams so the transition into commissioning, startup and handover is well managed.
Build strong working relationships across the project team and help resolve issues that could impact delivery.
About You:
Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Strong experience delivering commissioning and startup activities on major mining, minerals processing, infrastructure or industrial projects.
Good understanding of the full project lifecycle, from engineering and construction through to commissioning, startup and handover.
Experience working with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Construction and vendor teams.
Strong planning, scheduling and estimating skills, with the ability to manage several interfaces and priorities at once.
Ability to identify project risks and work through practical solutions to technical and delivery challenges.
Transparent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes.
Experience with completions, commissioning or handover management systems would be advantageous.

Ideal Candidate
This role would suit an experienced commissioning lead who likes being involved early and helping shape how a project will be delivered. You will bring a strong commissioning and startup background, along with the ability to work across engineering, operations and project teams to solve problems and keep things moving.
You will be comfortable switching between planning and day-to-day coordination, whether that means reviewing designs, developing commissioning plans, building estimates, working through risks or managing project interfaces. Importantly, you'll understand what needs to be in place to give the project the best chance of a smooth startup and handover.
