As the largest paediatric health service in Australia, we care for thousands of children each year, in hospital and at home. Our people are united by compassion, collaboration and excellence in care.
Kids Rehab is the largest tertiary paediatric rehabilitation service in NSW, caring for children and young people who as the result of an injury/illness, health condition or surgical/medical intervention would benefit from a multidisciplinary program of goal-directed care. Rehabilitation is medically-led and provided in inpatient, day-admitted, outpatient and community settings.
The primary focus of the Occupational Therapist Level 3 will be in the provision of expert, consultative assessment, treatment and community liaison within the outpatient multidisciplinary clinics, with some involvement in the intensive ambulatory rehabilitation caseload. The desirable candidate will have a keen interest in the utilisation of technology as an adjunct to traditional rehabilitation interventions, and a willingness to translate this into quality and research opportunities for Kids Rehab.
With the majority of outpatient clinic work occurring Monday-Wednesday, it is expected that the successful candidate will consider working days in the first half of the week, however some flexibility may be afforded here based on candidate preference.
