Put your practical skills to work and help keep Central Coast healthcare facilities safe, functional and well maintained. Join our Maintenance team as a Handyperson and make a valuable contribution to the services that support our community.
About the Opportunity
Join Central Coast Local Health District as a Handyperson and play an important role in maintaining safe, functional and well-presented hospital and community facilities across the Central Coast.
In this role you will:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance, minor works and breakdown rectification across hospital and community sites.
Assist Trade and Maintenance staff with work orders, installations, repairs and general site maintenance.
Undertake a range of practical tasks including furniture and equipment relocation, waste transport, cleaning of plant rooms, workshops, gutters and pathways.
Complete risk assessments, follow safe work practices and ensure maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
Work collaboratively with staff, contractors and stakeholders to provide timely, responsive and customer-focused maintenance services, including participating in a weekend Handyperson roster as required.
We are looking for a practical, reliable and customer-focused individual who takes pride in their work and can contribute effectively to a busy maintenance team across the Central Coast.
We are looking for someone who has:
Experience in maintenance,



building services infrastructure or general site maintenance.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work safely, efficiently and independently when required.
Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, with basic computer skills.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multifaceted maintenance team in a busy healthcare environment.
A current Australian Driver's Licence and a willingness to participate in the weekend Handyperson roster and obtain relevant licences or qualifications as required.
