Job Summary
IIQAF Group is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and patient-focused
Aged Care Worker
to join our healthcare team in Sydney. The successful candidate will provide high-quality
personal care, daily living support, companionship, and assistance
to elderly residents and clients while promoting their dignity, independence, safety, and overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Provide compassionate and respectful
aged care and personal care
to elderly clients and residents.
Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
Support clients with mobility, transfers, walking, positioning, and the safe use of mobility aids.
Assist with meals, feeding, hydration, and monitoring dietary requirements as directed.
Provide companionship and emotional support while encouraging social interaction and independence.
Follow individual care plans and provide support according to each client's specific needs and preferences.
Encourage clients to participate in appropriate activities that support independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.
Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, falls, or changes in client condition and report them promptly.
Communicate professionally with clients, families, nurses, healthcare professionals, and other care team members.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures and safe manual handling practices.
Participate in care team meetings, training, and continuous improvement activities when required.
Required Qualifications
Certificate III in
Individual Support (Ageing and Disability)
, Certificate IV in Ageing Support, or an equivalent relevant qualification is preferred.
Previous experience as an
Aged Care Worker, Personal Care Assistant, Personal Care Worker, Support Worker, Care Assistant, Aged Care Support Worker, or Residential Care Worker
is preferred.
Ability to maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Ability to work effectively with nurses, healthcare professionals, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
Physically capable of assisting clients with mobility and performing manual handling tasks safely.
Strong observation, documentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
Willingness to work adaptable shifts, weekends, evenings, nights, and public holidays when required.
