About the Role
Due to continued growth, Contract Resources is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts & Payroll Administrator to join our Australian Finance Team on a permanent full-time basis.
Based at our office, this role supports the Finance Department across payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and on time.
Working closely with the Accounts & Payroll Supervisor and Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance team.
Duties will include but not limited to
Processing Accounts Payable invoices, purchase orders and creditor payments
Assisting with the preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payrolls
Maintaining employee payroll records and statutory obligations
Responding to payroll, supplier and customer enquiries in a skilled and timely manner
Supporting month-end processes
Preparing payroll, financial and administrative reports as required
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, company policies and procedures
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across payroll and finance operations
Maintaining accurate Accounts Receivable records, invoicing and payment allocations
Requirements & Experience Needed
Experience in Accounts Payable, Payroll administration and Accounts Receivable
Understanding of payroll processes and financial administration practices
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Experience using payroll and accounting systems, ideally MicrOpay or similar platforms
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Ability to interpret Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also working independently when required
Professional approach to handling confidential and sensitive information
Commitment to quality, compliance and continuous improvement
