Financial Accountant

Frankston | Hybrid (3 days office, 2 days WFH)

6-Month Contract

$500 daily rate + super

An experienced Financial Accountant is required to join a high-performing finance team during a period of transformation and increased reporting activity.
n
Working closely with the Acting Financial Controller and broader finance team, you'll support statutory reporting, reconciliations, general ledger management, financial controls and compliance activities.
n
This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can quickly integrate into the team and provide support across a broad range of financial accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
n
Support statutory and financial reporting obligations.
n
Maintain general ledger integrity and investigate variances.
n
Assist with month-end and year-end processes.
n
Provide technical accounting support and advice.
n
Support audit, compliance and reporting requirements.
n
Identify process improvement opportunities and enhance financial controls.
n

About You
n
n




CA/CPA qualified.
n
Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
n
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Financial Accounting role.
n
Solid technical accounting and reporting knowledge.
n
Proven experience with reconciliations, statutory reporting and general ledger management.
n
Strong ERP systems experience.
n
Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
n

Highly Regarded
n
n
Oracle Fusion experience.
n
Exposure to fixed assets, taxation or large ERP implementations.
n
n
Successful applicants will be required to complete reference checks and a National Police Check.
