What is a podiatrist trainee?
A podiatrist trainee is someone enrolled in an approved Australian university podiatry degree and employed in a health service.As a podiatrist trainee, you will gain hands‐on experience working under the supervision of an experienced podiatrist. Some of the tasks you may be asked to help with include:diagnosing and treating a wide variety of lower limb conditionschecking blood flow and undertaking assessments to determine the risk of amputationfitting and adjustments of orthopaedic aids like moonboots or insolesapplying medical padding, strapping and dressingshelping with minor surgical procedures
