About the Role
We're looking for a
Behaviour Support Practitioner
to join our Melbourne Inner Southeast team.
This is a
mobile, community-based role
, supporting participants in their homes, schools and everyday environments. Rather than travelling across all of Melbourne, we'll look to build your caseload around
where you live
, helping keep travel practical and giving you greater autonomy over your working week.
We're particularly interested in practitioners around
Hawthorn, Richmond, South Yarra, Prahran, Brighton, Bentleigh, Burwood, Templestowe, Wantirna South and surrounding areas.
You'll join a warm and growing multidisciplinary team of 12 clinicians across OT and Speech Pathology, with a mix of early career, experienced and senior clinicians.
The team brings specialist knowledge across areas including
AAC, assistive technology, language and education
, creating plenty of opportunities for MDT collaboration and shared learning.
What You'll Be Doing
Deliver person-centred Positive Behaviour Support across home, school and community settings
Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop Behaviour Support Plans
Support participants across autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, developmental disability and complex behaviours
Collaborate with families, support networks and your broader multidisciplinary team
Manage a community caseload shaped around your location where possible
Participate in regular clinical supervision, mentoring and MDT collaboration
Why Join This Team?
Flexibility and autonomy
to structure your working week
Mobile caseload built around your local area
wherever possible
Regular clinical and Team Lead supervision
Shadowing, 1:1 and small-group support
as you settle into the team
Access to experienced and senior clinicians across multiple disciplines
Monthly face-to-face team connection, plus plenty of online collaboration
A team that values
sharing knowledge, celebrating client wins and supporting each other
Achievable KPIs designed to support sustainable workloads and work-life balance
Ongoing professional development and career opportunities within a national allied health organisation
What You'll Bring
Current NDIS Commission suitability at Core level or above
Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support within the NDIS
NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
Driver's licence and reliable vehicle – this is a mobile community role
Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills
A collaborative approach and willingness to share, learn and celebrate the wins with your team
If you're looking for a Behaviour Support role where you can have
autonomy over your day without losing the connection and support of a team
, we'd love to hear from you.
