Senior Payroll Officer

Join our team as one of six full-time, permanent Senior Payroll Officers based in Brisbane CBD and play a key role in delivering an exceptional payroll service across a large and diverse workforce. This is an opportunity for a hands‐on payroll professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and making a genuine impact. Working closely with the Payroll Manager, you'll take ownership of end‐to‐end payroll while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen systems, governance and the employee experience. What You'll Be Doing
End-to-end fortnightly payroll processing across a high-volume workforce
Interpret Awards, EBAs and payroll legislation to ensure compliance
Manage onboarding, terminations and complex payroll adjustments
Reconcile superannuation, leave entitlements and payroll accounts
Drive continuous improvement across payroll processes and systems

You're a passionate payroll professional who thrives on getting the details right,



solving problems and finding better ways of working. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where your expertise, curiosity and continuous improvement mindset can make a real impact.
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
Solid knowledge of payroll legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements
A curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
Confidence investigating issues and identifying root causes
The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team
What Do You Need to Apply?
3+ years' experience in a high‐volume, end‐to‐end payroll role
Experience with Payroll Metrics and UKG Dimensions (highly regarded)
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card) — or willingness to obtain
Working with Children Check (Blue Card) — or willingness to obtain
