As a Senior Accountant within our Tax team, you will play a key role in managing client relationships, delivering high-quality tax and business advisory services, and mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities
Preparation of tax returns, processing and reviewing financial statements,
preparation of management reports, preparation of review of BAS/IAS returns, preparation of interim financial accounts and providing tax planning proposals, preparation and analysis of management reports, preparation of tax effect accounting, analyse and review accounts, monthly payroll, payroll tax submission, FBT preparation and lodgement and financial data presentation.
This position requires a team player with excellent initiative. Ability to build trust and relationships with clients is key. Good communication and mentoring skills are necessary to provide support and training to junior staff members. You will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
Prepare and review income tax returns and financial statements
Prepare management reports and provide meaningful business insights
Review and prepare BAS and IAS returns
Prepare interim financial accounts
Assist clients with tax planning and advisory solutions
Analyse and review financial accounts
Prepare tax effect accounting calculations
Manage payroll processing and payroll tax obligations
Prepare and lodge FBT returns
Present financial information and recommendations to clients
Support, mentor and develop junior team members
What you need to apply
You are a proactive and client-focused professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys building trusted relationships.
You will bring:
CA or CPA qualification
3 to 5+ years' experience in a similar role
Experience within a mid-tier, Big 4, or professional services environment
Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge
Proficiency in Xero and MYOB
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A passion for mentoring and supporting others
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
