Full-Time Fixed-Term Contract to September ****
The Netball World Cup Sydney **** is seeking a highly organised and proactive Venue Operations Coordinator to join our Tournament Operations team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Venue Operations Manager, this role will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of venue operations across competition and event venues. Working closely with internal functional areas, venue partners, contractors, and workforce teams, you will play a key role in ensuring venues are operationally ready and deliver a seamless experience for athletes, officials, workforce, partners, and fans. You will support the development and implementation of venue operational plans, including:
Venue Operations Planning
Support the planning and delivery of venue operations, including overlay, temporary infrastructure, workforce deployment, and volunteer coordination.
Coordinate venue logistics, access management, accreditation interfaces, and tournament signage requirements across assigned venues.
Assist with venue readiness activities, including test events, operational rehearsals, and venue inspections to ensure successful event delivery.
Event-Time Venue Operations
Act as a key operational contact within the venue team, supporting daily operations, briefings, debriefings and venue performance monitoring.
Stakeholder and Contractor Management
Coordinate with venue operators, contractors, suppliers and internal functional areas to deliver seamless venue operations and event services.
Support contractor and service provider delivery, ensuring operational requirements, timelines, budgets and service standards are achieved.
Venue Overlay, Logistics and Readiness
Support venue readiness through the coordination of overlay, temporary infrastructure, logistics,



access requirements, and bump-in/bump-out activities.
Conduct venue inspections and operational readiness checks to ensure all spaces are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.
Workforce Coordination
Coordinate, supervise and support venue staff and volunteers, including workforce planning, rostering, onboarding, training and role allocation.
Foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture while ensuring workforce requirements are effectively resourced and delivered throughout the tournament.
Manage shift rosters, task delegation, team wellbeing, and deliver briefings/debriefs for on-site
Health, Safety and Administration
Support venue health, safety, risk management and compliance activities, including identifying and mitigating operational risks and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures and legislation.
Maintain operational documentation and reporting, while assisting with procurement, budget tracking and post-event evaluation activities.

You are a collaborative, solutions-focused operations professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working across diverse teams and stakeholders.
Essential Experience & Skills
Experience in venue operations, event operations, logistics or major event delivery
Strong planning, organisational and coordination skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing operational requirements
Experience working collaboratively with contractors, suppliers and service providers
A proactive,



hands‐on approach with a strong focus on delivering outcomes
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and extended hours during key event periods
Experience working on major sporting events, tournaments or large-scale public events
Knowledge of venue logistics, access management and accreditation environments
Understanding of health, safety and risk management frameworks in event settings
