About the Role
You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. It is one of the nation's most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class, and our staff are dedicated, cutting-edge and caring. The role involves coordinating and managing a randomised controlled trial of oral misoprostol for cervical ripening. Responsibilities will include participant screening, recruitment and follow-up; coordination of trial activities; liaison with investigators, the Human Research Ethics Committee and research governance; maintenance of trial documentation; and oversight of data collection, quality and entry. The successful applicant will also have opportunities to contribute to the analysis, interpretation and dissemination of study findings, including co-authorship of publications arising from the trial. This position is 16 hours per week,
worked during business hours across two to four days per week. Working days are negotiable, with a preference for availability on at least one day between Monday and Wednesday. For more information, please view the Position Description
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife (Division 1) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
Ability to prioritise and problem solve to manage the complex clinical care needs of patients/women through the development and use of advanced clinical management plans.
Experience in leading and initiating activities to improve clinical service delivery and patient clinical outcomes.
Clinical midwifery experience and experience in participant recruitment and site-level conduct of randomised controlled trials in maternity care.
