State Service Manager - Construction Equipment

CJD Equipment is seeking an experienced and driven State Service Manager to lead our Western Australian Volvo Construction Equipment service operations from our Guildford Branch.
n
This is a key leadership position responsible for driving operational performance, service excellence, customer satisfaction, and business growth across our WA Volvo Construction Equipment network.
n
Reporting to the General Manager – Construction Equipment WA, you will play a critical role in developing high-performing teams, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering best-in-class aftersales support.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Lead and support service teams across workshop and field service operations.
n
Drive a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and customer service excellence.
n
Develop and execute service strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
n
Identify and grow new service and aftersales opportunities within the Volvo Construction Equipment market.
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
n
Monitor departmental performance, budgets, forecasts, and operating costs to maximise efficiency and profitability.
n
Mentor, coach, and develop technicians, apprentices, and service leaders.
n
Support the resolution of technical and operational challenges across the network.
n
Ensure effective job processing, invoicing, and service department administration in line with company standards.
n
Work closely with branch and senior leadership teams to deliver business objectives.
n
About You
n
A mechanical trade qualification or extensive experience within the heavy equipment, construction, mining, or mobile plant industries.
n
Proven success leading a service department in a hands‐on operational environment.
n
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets,



profitability, and service performance.
n
A track record of growing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities.
n
Exceptional leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing people.
n
A strong commitment to workplace health, safety, and compliance.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
Strong computer literacy and administrative capability.
n
A current driver's licence and willingness to travel within WA as required.
n
