Sponsored by General Managers and Executives, this is an opportunity for a results-driven improvement professional who thrives on turning ideas into measurable outcomes. As a trusted partner to your assigned WesTrac division, you will identify and lead complex cross-functional improvement initiatives, build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, and deliver sustainable operational and commercial benefits. This is not a reporting or purely analytical role. We're looking for someone with a solid bias for action, a proven track record of delivering outcomes, the ability to influence without authority, and a genuine commitment to building end-user ownership so improvements continue long after the project is complete. Joining a high-performing team of improvement specialists and industry leaders, you'll have the support, autonomy, and visibility to make a meaningful impact across the business.
What You'll Do
Lead complex, cross-functional improvement projects sponsored at GM and Executive level — from scoping through to benefit realisation
Identify inefficiencies in manufacturing and service processes; quantify the opportunity and mobilise both frontline teams and management to act
Pinpoint constraints in value streams and coordinate project activities with business stakeholders to deliver targeted outcomes
Advise senior leaders on findings and directly influence business-critical decisions
Serve as a business partner and SME to your assigned WesTrac division — shaping project and improvement scheduling
Build strong working relationships with technical and functional SMEs, vendors, and suppliers in line with WesTrac's values
Embed a culture of project discipline and continuous improvement that outlasts each individual project
Skills & Experience
4-5 years' project management experience leading projects of various sizes across Manufacturing, Mining, FMCG or Services
Demonstrated track record as a change agent with strong commercial acumen
Proven ability to plan and coordinate schedules, budgets, and quality project documentation
Strong financial management experience, either formal or through budget accountability
Demonstrated ability to lead multiple project and improvement initiatives simultaneously
Qualifications
Recognised Project Management qualification (PMI) — Required
Agile Project Management certification and experience — Highly regardedLean Manufacturing knowledge — Highly regardedTertiary undergraduate qualification in Business, Engineering or Science — Desirable
