Job Summary
IIQAF Group is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and experienced
Accounts Receivable Officer
to join our healthcare finance team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable activities, processing invoices, monitoring outstanding payments, reconciling customer accounts, following up on overdue balances, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily
accounts receivable and billing operations
accurately and efficiently.
Prepare, process, and issue customer, patient, corporate, and healthcare-related invoices.
Monitor outstanding accounts and ensure payments are received within agreed payment terms.
Allocate incoming payments, receipts, electronic transfers, and other transactions accurately to customer accounts.
Perform regular
accounts receivable reconciliations
and investigate account discrepancies.
Follow up on overdue invoices and outstanding balances through telephone, email, and written communication.
Maintain accurate customer, patient, payer, and account information in financial systems.
Process credit notes, refunds, adjustments, and account corrections in accordance with company procedures.
Assist with healthcare billing, insurance claims, private patient accounts, corporate accounts, and payment processing where required.
Identify opportunities to improve billing, collection, reconciliation, and accounts receivable processes.
Follow company financial policies, accounting procedures, internal controls,
and healthcare administration standards.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration
, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience as an
Accounts Receivable Officer, Accounts Receivable Clerk, Finance Officer, Billing Officer, Credit Controller, Accounts Clerk, Finance Administrator, or Assistant Accountant
is preferred.
Experience in hospitals, healthcare, medical centers, clinics, health services, or other large organizations is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of
accounts receivable, invoicing, payment allocation, account reconciliation, credit control, debt collection, and financial administration
.
Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling patient, customer, and financial information.
Ability to work independently and as part of a finance and healthcare administration team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital or healthcare environment.
