About the Role
Reporting to the
Network Optimisation & Compliance Lead
, you'll develop and improve reliable automation across the ABC's network environment, using
Ansible, Python and APIs
to streamline operational processes and improve network performance, visibility and reliability.
You will:
Build reusable
Ansible workflows and Python solutions
for network and operational automation.
Integrate systems through
REST APIs
and improve visibility through telemetry, monitoring and
Grafana dashboards
.
Troubleshoot across
automation, APIs, Linux systems and network infrastructure
, identifying and resolving complex issues.
Use
Git, testing and validation
to deliver protected, reliable and maintainable production changes.
Continuously improve existing automation and contribute to
technical documentation and knowledge sharing
across the team.

About You
You'll bring strong
enterprise networking fundamentals
together with hands-on experience building and supporting automation in production environments. You'll be confident working across
Python, Ansible and APIs
, with the technical curiosity and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot across automation,



systems and network infrastructure.
You'll also bring experience with:
Python and Ansible
, including developing maintainable scripts and reusable automation workflows.
Basic knowledge in Enterprise networking, including
routing, switching, and Firewall.
REST APIs, Git and structured data
such as JSON and YAML.
Linux environments and observability tools such as Grafana
, with an understanding of testing, validation, logging and safe production change practices.
Experience with AWS, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, containers or network automation platforms such as Ansible Automation Platform/AWX would be highly regarded.
