About the Role
As a Clinical Pharmacist Grade 1/2, you'll play an integral role in delivering safe, effective and patient-centred pharmacy services across the hospital. Working closely with medical, nursing and allied health professionals, you'll contribute your clinical knowledge to optimise medication therapy and support the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Your responsibilities will include providing clinical pharmacy services, supporting medication reconciliation, applying your knowledge of therapeutics, legislation and professional standards, and contributing to the safe and effective use of medicines across the organisation.
You'll also have the prospect to contribute to ongoing professional development, education and quality improvement initiatives, while building your clinical capability within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
For pharmacists with three or more years of post-registration hospital pharmacy experience, the role provides the opportunity to be classified at Grade 2, subject to meeting the relevant competency requirements under the Health Employees' Pharmacists (State) Award ****.
About You
You're a motivated and patient-focused Pharmacist who takes pride in delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services. You'll bring:
Current unrestricted registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.




Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and professional standards.
Strong clinical pharmacy skills and knowledge of therapeutics within a hospital setting.
An understanding of medication reconciliation and its role in safe medication management.
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail, together with strong computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new electronic systems.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A commitment to ongoing professional development, education and quality improvement.
For Grade 2 classification, at least three years' post-registration hospital pharmacy experience and demonstrated competency against the relevant criteria under the Health Employees' Pharmacists (State) Award ****.
What you'll be doing
The provision and management of Clinical Pharmacy services as outlined in the position description and to work in all areas of the pharmacy department. To provide pharmaceutical services within the boundaries of relevant legislation and policies to patients of the MNCLHD with the objective of providing best quality outcomes.
