This role We're looking for a Senior Designer to join Hero Collective, our in-house agency.
We need someone who lives and breathes design but thinks like an Art Director, conceptually sharp, strategically minded, and ready to push creative boundaries alongside our team of motion designers, copywriters, and illustrators to deliver scroll-stopping campaigns.You will play a pivotal role in shaping the Employment Hero brand, owning projects from concept to delivery across campaign rollouts, growth marketing, motion content and digital assets.You are a self-motivated, solution-focused designer who works best in fast-paced environments.

Design that hits hard
You bring big ideas to the table and you know how to craft them.
Using design to help the idea sing.
You'll work across the whole brand ecosystem, from campaign key visuals to paid ads, social and events, keeping the brand consistent and unmistakable across every touchpoint.
Own the creative vision
Strong art direction isn't optional here, it's core to the role.
You bring fresh, original thinking and push ideas beyond the obvious.
You're there from the start, shaping the creative concept and making sure the narrative is clear, compelling, and consistent across every channel.

You own integrated campaigns from first spark to final delivery.
You think in systems, not just assets, and bring creative direction that aligns with strategy.

6+ years in a creative studio or agency environment
3+ years being a Senior/Lead Designer or Art Director
A folio packed with clever, scroll-stopping, results-driven work
A motion-first mindset and robust storytelling chops
Strategic and collaborative with a curious streak
Detail obsessed—but always sees the big picture
Passionate about branding,



content, and design that hits different
Deep knowledge of design principles: typography, layout, colour, accessibility
Proven experience across the whole marketing ecosystem and integrated campaigns: OOH, paid + organic social, web, motion/video, print, digital
Strong Art and Design Direction across everything you create
Fresh ideas that push our brand in new territories conceptually and with technology
Strong storyboarding and visual storytelling capabilities
Real-world AI experience—prompting, iterating, innovating
Figma and Adobe Creative Suite wizardry
Familiarity with tools like After Effects, Premier Pro or video editing software.
Must feel comfortable collaborating on motion projects and speaking the language of editors and animators
Comfortable with Slack, Asana, Hubspot, Canva, Google Slides
Understanding of UX/UI, wireframes and digital flows
