Aspley Hornets is seeking an experienced and passionate
Football Manager
to lead our football department across senior men's, women's, junior, youth andmastersprograms.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, this leadership roleis responsible fordriving football strategy, strengthening player pathways, managing football operations, supporting coaches and staff, and fostering a strong, accountable club culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and implement the club's football strategy and philosophy.
Oversee football operations across all programs.
Manage and support coaches, footballstaffand volunteers.
Drive player recruitment,retentionand pathway development.
Ensure AFL Queensland compliance, reporting and football administration requirements are met.
Build a positive,inclusiveand high-performance football culture.
Manage football budgets,resourcesand planning.
Develop strong relationships with AFL Queensland, schools, community clubs,sponsorsand stakeholders.
About You
Senior leadership experience in football,
communitysportor a comparable setting.
Strong strategic, operational and people management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Experience in budgeting,planningand resource management.
Sound understanding of football operations, playerdevelopmentand pathways.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to lead through influence and collaboration.
QAFL, QAFLW or AFL Queensland experience.
Coaching accreditation or coaching leadership experience.
Experience supporting women's and girls' football programs.
