The Public Enquiry Service Division provides a range of public facing services including national police checks, fingerprinting services, traffic accident reports and crime reports for insurance purposes.
We are looking for two experienced and people focused Senior Information Officers to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high performing group responsible for delivering high quality outcomes that support informed decision making in line with legislative, policy and procedural requirements.
As the successful applicant, you will oversee day to day operations of a team that updates and releases crime related data and other sensitive information within a complex policy and legislative framework in a high-volume environment. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, supporting stakeholder relationships, championing change and fostering a positive team culture.

Your duties will include:
Supervising the management of information using corporate databases and other IT applications.
Leading and developing a team responsible for the use and dissemination of sensitive information
Monitoring quality, compliance, and consistency across a range of activities
Providing guidance to employees on complex, sensitive or escalated case
Contributing to process improvements and departmental initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
Building strong stakeholder relationships
Promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
About You:
Demonstrated experience in leading a team in a compliance, regulatory or service delivery environment.
Experience in interpreting and applying legislation and operational policy to service delivery processes.
Strong understanding of quality assurance, risk, and performance.
Ability to determine the source of a problem and find an effective solution in a timely manner.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet service standards.
Sound judgement and decision-making skills when dealing with sensitive information and other matters.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Demonstrated commitment to continual improvement and achieving quality outcomes.
Further Information:
Two (2) x full-time, ongoing position available.
This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
