Where you'll be working
What you'll be doing
As Chief Pharmacist, you will:
Provide strategic leadership and management of pharmacy services across Macquarie Hospital.
Lead a high-performing team committed to delivering safe, effective, and consumer-centred care.
Oversee medication safety programs and ensure compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
Drive formulary management, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
Manage pharmaceutical expenditure and support sustainable service delivery.
Contribute to organisational planning, innovation, and service development.
Foster partnerships with clinicians, consumers, carers, and key stakeholders to improve clinical outcomes.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (or eligible for immediate registration).
Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice in a major teaching hospital.
Demonstrated leadership in promoting safety, quality improvement and best practice.
