About the role:
Maribyrnong Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Service is seeking an experienced Senior Clinician to join the Intensive Support Program.
This role combines advanced clinical practice with leadership responsibilities and is suited to a highly skilled mental health clinician who is passionate about supporting consumers with complex mental health needs. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, recovery-oriented care while contributing to safe, coordinated service delivery and positive consumer outcomes.
Provide advanced clinical assessment, intervention and recovery-oriented care for consumers with complex mental health needs.
Deliver clinical leadership, mentoring and supervision to staff and students while fostering a positive team culture.
Manage clinical risk and support safe, coordinated service delivery through sound clinical judgement and decision-making.
Collaborate with consumers, families, carers and key stakeholders to support recovery-focused care planning and service delivery.
Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and the implementation of best practice.
About you:
You are an experienced and motivated mental health clinician who brings advanced clinical expertise, strong leadership skills and a commitment to recovery-oriented practice.
You will have:
Minimum 5 years' experience (Registered Psychiatric Nurses) or 7 years' experience (Allied Health Clinicians) working with consumers with complex needs in public mental health settings.
Advanced skills in assessment, formulation, intervention and recovery-oriented care.
Strong ability to identify, assess and manage clinical risk, with sound judgement in escalation and decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership,



supervision and support to staff and students.
Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
