About the Role/n

We're looking for an outstanding Hotel Manager to join the leadership team at Rydges Melbourne! This is an exciting opportunity to shape the experience of a vibrant, design-led hotel in the heart of the city.

As Hotel Manager, you'll be the face of the hotel, chief host, brand champion, and experience driver-setting the tone for exceptional, personalised service at every touchpoint. You'll lead from the front, inspiring your team to deliver effortless, memorable guest experiences that truly stand out.

Skills & Experience/n

/n

- Proven experience in a senior hotel management role, ideally coming from a 5-star hotel environment. Bringing an exceptional customer experience defined by consistency, trust, and exceeding expectations.

/n

- A strong background across all areas of the hotel including rooms revenue, F&B;, C&E; and Sales & Marketing.

/n

- Strong commercial acumen with a keen eye for market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities to drive profitability and value.

/n

- Demonstrated strong leadership skills, fostering team collaboration and performance.

/n

- Effective written and verbal communication, ensuring clarity across all levels of operation.

/n

- Exceptional organisation and time management abilities to meet operational deadlines.

/n

- Extensive experience across hotel operations, including F&B; POS systems and equipment.

/n

- Solid financial knowledge across all facets of hotel operations, including cost control and profitability analysis.

/n

- Expertise in forecasting revenue and expenses to support strategic decision-making.

/n

- Proven ability in developing hotel budgets aligned with business objectives.

/n

- Flexible and adaptable with working hours and days, ensuring operational continuity.

/n

- Skilled in influencing and negotiating,



with the ability to build strong relationships and promote ideas effectively within the team and broader business.

Key Accountabilities/n

/n

- Oversee day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring alignment with business needs and departmental efficiency.

/n

- Collaborate with Heads of Department on rostering, SOP implementation, and operational standards.

/n

- Manage housekeeping and maintenance programs, including room inspections, preventative maintenance, and FF&E; scheduling.

/n

- Assist Revenue and F&B; teams with accurate weekly forecasting and yield strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue.

/n

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and emergency procedures while maintaining guest and staff security.

/n

- Drive financial control through budget delegation, cost management, and payroll oversight.

/n

- Maintain strong internal communication channels and lead regular management and departmental meetings.

/n

- Represent the hotel professionally through guest engagement, corporate networking, and high-profile presence in public areas.

/n

- Act as General Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of operations and strategic decision-making.

/n
