The Senior Cyber Security Governance Analyst will support the delivery of cyber security governance, risk and compliance activities across a major resilience uplift program. The role will provide senior-level cyber security advice, assurance and governance support, contributing to the development of security requirements, formal documentation and risk-based decision making.
What you’ll do:/n
/n
- Provide senior cyber security governance, risk and compliance expertise across security and resilience initiatives.
/n
- Contribute to solution design by identifying and advising on cyber security and information security considerations.
/n
- Review, develop and provide recommendations on cyber security requirements to support secure technology and business outcomes.
/n
- Develop high-quality security governance documentation, including security assessments, requirements, advice and formal security artefacts.
/n
- Prepare clear cyber security communications and documentation to support senior executive decision making.
/n
- Coordinate and support security assurance activities, including IRAP assessments, penetration testing and related assurance processes.
/n
- Identify and assess cyber security risks,
providing practical recommendations and advice to support risk-based decision making.
/n
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, technology teams and service providers to achieve security outcomes.
/n
- Support the implementation of cyber security governance frameworks, policies, controls and assurance processes.
/n
- Provide cyber security governance support during major operational or electoral events, including responding to event-specific security requirements.
/n
- Contribute to continuous improvement of cyber security governance, risk and compliance processes and practices.
/n
What you’ll bring:/n
/n
- Demonstrated experience working in a senior Cyber Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) role.
/n
- Strong knowledge and practical understanding of the Information Security Manual (ISM), Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Essential Eight.
/n
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining cyber security governance, risk and compliance documentation.
/n
- Experience providing cyber security advice and recommendations across technology solutions, projects or business initiatives.
/n
- Demonstrated experience coordinating or supporting security assurance activities, such as IRAP assessments, penetration testing and security reviews.
/n
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills,
with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and translate complex security matters into clear advice.
/n
- Demonstrated ability to develop high-quality written documentation for senior executive and governance audiences.
/n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess security risks and recommend practical outcomes.
/n
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced workplace and respond to changing priorities, including periods of heightened operational activity.
/n
- Experience in relevant cyber security, governance, risk or compliance roles is highly desirable.
/n
- Current Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance is required prior to commencement.
/n
- Ability to work full-time onsite in the ACT, with flexibility to work extended hours and weekends during key operational periods when required.
/n
