Cardiologist to join independent private practice

The position can be structured to meet individual preference for full or part time occupation. Suitable applicants include those with experience in general cardiology, as well as sub-specialty trained cardiologists, particularly those with imaging, heart failure, cardio-oncology and coronary/structural HD interventional skills.
Situated in an established private practice with extensive GP and specialist referral base, cardiology RN’s on staff, in-house investigations including echo and Holter, and across-the-road access to a well serviced private hospital. The hospital has 2 cardiac catheter labs, cardiac surgery, ICU and CCU, cardiac rehabilitation and an extensive support network for radiology and pathology.

The hospital has MDT meetings and regular mortality and morbidity reviews.

Opportunities for involvement in supervision and teaching of junior medical staff and medical students are available.





Flexibility for leave (educational or recreational) is important to us, and we aim to allow leave as needed, with priorities given to patient care and service provision underlined, and providing equitable on-call for all parties is negotiated.

Remuneration will be attractive, based on a fee for service system, minus a facility fee as a percentage of billings. A pathway to joining as a practice associate will be negotiable.

Qualifications: Applicants must be registered as a Medical Practitioner and Specialist with AHPRA, and must hold FRACP, including specialist recognition as a cardiologist. Specialist registration under AHPRA must be either fully independent or requiring level 4 supervision.

We cannot support levels 1 to 3 supervision. Referees will be required.
