You will be responsible for constructing post and sleeper retaining walls across civil subdivision, commercial and large residential projects. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, reliable, works safely and efficiently, and can complete jobs to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
- Set out and construct post and sleeper retaining walls
- Drilling and prepare post holes and footings
- Install steel posts accurately and securely
- Install sleepers and ensure walls are straight, level and structurally sound
- Complete drainage, backfilling and associated earthworks
- Reading plans and accurately measure/set out work
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Management of plant and equipment
About you
- Proven experience building post and sleeper retaining walls
- Strong understanding of levels, measurements and set-out
- Positive knowledge of drainage and retaining wall construction
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- White Card and relevant licences/tickets are an advantage
- Must have own and reliable transport
- Excavator and skid steer loader experience preferred
