Applications are invitedfor a Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join the team at Leeton Early Learning Centre on a full time basis.

Applicants for this position will hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (0-5 years) and will have solid interpersonalskills with the ability to work as part of a team.

Child Safety Requirement
We are committed to providing a child-safe workplace. All applicants must beover 18 years of age and are required to hold a valid Working With ChildrenCheck (WWCC) and a current Police Check. A current First Aid Certificate would bedesirable, or must be willing to obtain.

The primary purpose ofthe position :

- Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of activity programs which promote optimumdevelopment in the areas of social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth as well as the health, welfare andeducational needs of the individual child.
- Provide active supervision, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children.

Duties of the position are detailed in the Operations section of the attached Position Description and include, but are not limited to:

- In conjunction with the Children’s Services Manager and teacher, assist in the observation,



implementationand evaluation of a program of experiences and activities which promote optimum development ion theareas of social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth as well as the health, welfare and educationalneeds of the individual child.
- Assist in creating a program that focuses on children as individuals, as members of peer groups and asmembers of family units within the broader society with particular consideration for the interests, specialneeds and aptitude of each child.
- Assist in planning and preparing the environments, setting up interest centres, preparing and cleaning awaymaterials and supplies.
- Treat each child with dignity and respect, taking into consideration any cultural, socio-economic or otherdifferences which may arise.

Salary and Conditions: The position will attract an hourly rate of pay of $38.14 per hour. 12% Superannuation is applicable to this position. The position is 76 hours per fortnight.

Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government(State) Award.

Prior to commencement the successful applicant will be required toundergo a Functional Assessment which includes an Alcohol & Other Drug screening. It is also arequirement, on commencement, to provide evidence of being Covid-19vaccinated.
