Royal Freemasons is looking for caring and committed Food Services Assistants to join our friendly team at Monash Gardens on a casual basis.

In this rewarding role, you’ll support older Australians by helping deliver high-quality meals and a positive dining experience in a person-centred environment.

As a Food Services Assistant, you’ll contribute to residents’ daily comfort by assisting with meal preparation, plating, serving, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining space. Your dedication to excellent service and respect for residents’ preferences will help create meaningful moments each day.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with meal preparation, plating, tray service, and food and beverage delivery in accordance with resident dietary requirements.

- Set up dining areas and provide excellent customer service to residents.

- Maintain food safety standards, including the safe handling, storage, monitoring of expiry dates, and documentation of food and beverages.

- Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.

- Support compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards,



OH&S; requirements, and accreditation standards.

Who We Are Looking For:

- Experience in hospitality in aged care highly desired

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Reliability, organisation, and commitment to hygiene and safety

- Knowledge of texture-modified diets, special dietary requirements, and food allergies to ensure safe and appropriate meal service for residents.

- A genuine passion for supporting older people

Key Requirements:

- Valid Police Clearance or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

- Covid‑19 vaccination (three doses) and annual Flu Vaccine encouraged; proof of Covid‑19 vaccination required before commencement

- Food Handling Certificate
