Applications are invited for a Certificate III Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join the team in a 12-month Maternity Relief role.

Applicants for this position will hold a Cert III Early Childhood Education & Care (0-5 years) and will have solid interpersonalskills with the ability to work as part of a team.

Leeton Early Learning Centre is committed to child safety, wellbeing, participation and the empowerment of allchildren in its care. Therefore, appropriate rigorous reference and background checking will be undertaken, includinga working with children’s check, Police record and identity check. Leeton Shire Council only hire educators who weassess as being safe and suitable for the position.

The primary purpose ofthe position :

- Provide active supervision, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children.
- Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of activity programs which promote optimumdevelopment in the areas of social, emotional,



cognitive and physical growth as well as the health, welfare andeducational needs of the individual child.

Duties of the role are detailed in the Operations section of the attached Position Description .

Salary and Conditions: The position will attract an hourly rate of pay of $30.97 to $36.14 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. 12% Superannuation is applicable to this position.

The position is 76 hours per fortnight (Part time/Job share may beconsidered.)

Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government(State) Award.

Prior to commencement the successful applicant will be required toundergo a Functional Assessment which includes an Alcohol & Other Drug screening. It is also a requirement, on commencement, to provide evidence of being Covid-19vaccinated.
