Attractions Manager

The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a department at the heart of the Sea World guest experience.
We're seeking Expressions of Interest from passionate leaders ready to take the next step in overseeing one of the park's most dynamic operational areas. As Attractions Manager, you'll help shape the daily operation of our attractions, support strategic initiatives, develop high-performing teams and deliver safe, efficient and memorable guest experiences across the park.
Working closely with the Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in amusement device operations, Safety Case compliance, team development, operational planning and the successful delivery of both day trade and special events.
Key Responsibilities
From thrilling attractions to behind-the-scenes operations, you'll help keep Sea World running at its best. You’ll be:
- Overseeing day-to-day Attractions operations, supporting protected, efficient and guest-focused park performance
- Supporting night event planning, operational execution and performance monitoring
- Managing labour and expenses in partnership with the Operations Manager, ensuring alignment with budget targets
- Identifying trends, challenges and improvement opportunities, adapting strategies to meet changing business needs
- Collaborating with Attractions teams across VRTP properties to standardise processes, identify gaps and implement best practice
- Partnering with internal and external stakeholders, including Sales & Marketing and Art Studio, to support campaigns, filming requirements and operational efficiencies
- Assisting with Emergency Response Team training, deployment and operational readiness across day trade and night events
- Providing leadership support and guidance to Operations Manager direct reports when required
- Coordinating workforce planning, training, mentoring, recruitment, performance management and performance reviews
- Setting service standards and supporting training initiatives that enable exceptional guest experiences
- Supporting supervisor development and succession planning, encouraging personal growth and broader business understanding
- Ensuring VRTP OHS policies, procedures and reporting requirements are implemented and maintained
- Working with the Attractions Training Coordinator to maintain compliant training records, documentation and regulatory requirements
- Executing and continually reviewing Safety Case requirements, procedures, policies and compliance standards
- Working with department managers to maintain presentation standards and drive continuous park improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Blue Card is essential * (Please be advised that the cost of a Blue Card is currently $108.30).
- Previous industry experience in a supervisory role is required; management experience is advantageous
- Comprehensive knowledge of amusement device operations, procedures and Safety Case requirements
- Professional, confidential and solutions-focused approach
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
- Excellent organisational, administrative and computer skills
- Strong understanding of rostering, labour management and budget awareness
- Working knowledge of the VRTP/AWU agreement and relevant employment conditions
- Knowledge of ACCESSO, OMNI and OPERA is highly desirable, along with strong Microsoft Office capability
