Engineering Trades Australia are currently recruiting experienced Mechanical Fitters with extensive pipe fitting experience for a busy workshop based in Brisbane. This is a great opportunity for trade-qualified Mechanical Fitters looking for consistent Monday-Friday work , with occasional Saturday shifts available.

THE ROLE

Working within a professional workshop environment, you will be responsible for mechanical fitting, assembly, maintenance, repairs and refurbishment of industrial equipment and components.

- Mechanical fitting, assembly and disassembly of equipment
- Pipe fitting experience needed.
- Hydraulic and mechanical component repairs
- Maintenance and refurbishment of industrial equipment
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
- Fault finding, repairs and troubleshooting
- Workshop fitting, fabrication and general maintenance
- Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
- Working safely and maintaining high-quality workmanship

WHAT'S ON OFFER

- $58 per hour
- Monday-Friday
- 10-hour days
- Occasional Saturday work

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter
- Previous workshop mechanical fitting experience
- Strong mechanical maintenance and repair skills
- Hydraulic experience highly regarded
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Mining, oil & gas, manufacturing or heavy industrial experience advantageous
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Reliable and able to work effectively within a team
