The Role An opportunity has become available for an Enrolled Nurse Advanced Skills (Cancer and Blood Disorders) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will Complete admission and discharge duties within the scope of practiseAwareness and adherence to the hospital's current bed management strategyCollaborate registered nurses/shift coordinator to plan and prioritise needs for the shiftLiaise with pharmacy to ensure targets are met for readiness of discharge medicationProvide directed patient care as necessary under the supervision of the registered nurse

About you

- Diploma of Nursing or equivalentRegistration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis
- TB tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Base salary ranging from $82,578 - $87,626 per annum

The Cancer and Blood Disorders (CBD)



Inpatient Unit forms part of the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) Cancer and Blood Disorders Service providing tertiary level care to the rapidly expanding population base of the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers Area. The CBD Inpatient Unit is a 28 Bed unit delivering acute services to clients with haematological and/or oncological disorders.The CBD IPU collaborates closely with the other units within the Cancer, Blood Disorders Service such as the Cancer and Blood Disorders Day Unit, Cancer and Blood Disorders Outpatients Clinics, Clinical Nurse Consultants and Palliative Care Services at Robina Hospital. These services work collaboratively to provide continuing improvement in the quality of care offered to all patients.
