- $1,437.10 gross per 38hour week, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65%superannuation.
- Permanent Full timeposition based at our Principal Depot in Charlton.

About Parks & Recreation

The Parks & Recreation Team are thesecret behind the Toowoomba Region’s beautiful parks and gardens.With over 7000 hectares of public gardens, bushland park,sports and recreation facilities and other open space and anextensive urban forest, the Toowoomba region is well known for itsliveability and green infrastructure. The Parks and RecreationServices Branch is responsible for planning, developing andmaintaining our beautiful green infrastructure, some of which isheritage listed, and keeping up with the strong growth across theregion. The team is a diverse mix of approximately 200 peopleworking as labourers, gardeners, arborists, horticulturalists,plant operators, rangers, cleaners, project managers, landscapearchitects, administrators, regulators and their managers andleaders.

About the position

As a Team Leader - HorticulturalOfficer, you will be responsible for exercising extensivediscretion in relation to the selection and organisation ofappropriate work processes and resources ensuring that staff,members of the public and other stakeholders remain safe whileachieving the productive delivery of the desired levels of servicefor public gardens within the Toowoomba Region.

In this position, you will workunder remote supervision.

What you'll bring

- Certificate III in Horticulture togetherwith demonstrated experience and competencewhich enables the incumbent to perform all duties of theposition.
- Current ‘MR’ Class Driver’s Licence, or the willingness toobtain within six (6) months of commencement.
- ACDC (Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control) Sprayingcertificate, or the willingness to obtain within six (6) monthsof commencement.
- WHS Competency (White Card ) for CPCWHS1001Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, orequivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior tocommencement.
- Leadership/Management Skills.
- Customer service, teamwork, and problem solvingskills.





The preferred candidate will be required toundertake a Criminal History Check and a pre-employment medicalassessment to assess their ability to perform the genuineoccupational requirements of the position.
