About the role

This exciting opportunity is designed to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander doctors seeking to develop their clinical skills and experience within a tertiary healthcare environment. Based at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, the role offers exposure to a broad range of acute and critical care services while supporting career progression toward specialist training pathways.

Working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams, you will provide high-quality patient care, participate in teaching and professional development activities, and gain valuable experience managing diverse and complex clinical presentations. The role provides a supportive learning environment with access to mentorship, education and training opportunities that foster both professional growth and culturally safe healthcare delivery.

About you

- Provide safe, effective and patient-centred clinical care under the supervision of senior medical staff across a range of acute healthcare settings.
- Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills while working as part of multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Participate in education, teaching, audit and quality improvement activities that support excellence in clinical practice.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with patients,



families, colleagues and stakeholders while contributing to culturally secure healthcare delivery.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing career development and career progression within the medical profession.
