What you’ll be doing
As a Registered Nurse in Paediatrics, you’ll provide high-quality, individualised nursing care while working collaboratively with children, families, carers and the broader healthcare team.
Deliver safe, effective and person-centred paediatric nursing care
Assess changing patient needs and respond appropriately in a busy clinical workplace
Advocate for children and their families and facilitate appropriate referrals and discharge planning
Delegate and supervise care provided by Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing within their scope of practice
Support students and colleagues through supervision,
mentoring and sharing clinical knowledge
Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated recent nursing experience relevant to the position and commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice
Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to patient care
Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care
Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means,; and sound interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
