The Opportunity

Ochre Health has a long-standing commitment to rural and remote medicine, having been founded in outback NSW and maintaining a strong presence throughout regional and rural Australia since 2002.

We currently have multiple GP VMO opportunities across Tasmania and Western NSW for experienced doctors looking to broaden their clinical skills, maintain their Emergency Department experience and become part of a supportive rural medical community.

These positions provide an excellent prospect for doctors from a variety of backgrounds who are interested in rural generalism, hospital-based work and a pathway to Vocational Registration through one of the GP colleges, including RACGP or ACRRM.

Who we’re looking for

We have opportunities for both:

- Fellowed GPs with FRACGP or FACRRM who have VMO, Emergency Department or rural hospital experience and are looking for a long-term rural GP VMO or Rural Generalist role
- Experienced non-VR doctors with at least 3 years of postgraduate medical experience who are interested in rural general practice, hospital medicine and progressing towards Fellowship

For eligible doctors who are not yet Vocationally Registered, Ochre Health can support pathways towards Fellowship through:

- RVTS
- RACGP Fellowship Support Program (FSP)
- ACRRM Independent Pathway (IP)
