Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking an experienced andmotivated Coordinator Wastewater Operations tolead a skilled team responsible for the operation of theWetalla Water Reclamation Facility, Wetalla Advanced WaterTreatment Plant, Yarraman and Crows Nest Wastewater TreatmentPlants, and associated wastewater pumping station networks.

About the Role

As the Coordinator Wastewater Operations, you will overseethe day-to-day operation of Council's central and northernwastewater treatment and pumping systems, ensuring reliableservice delivery, regulatory compliance, and optimal plantperformance.

You will:

- Lead and support operational teams across multiplewastewater facilities.
- Coordinate wastewater treatment, pumping anddistribution activities.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental Authorities andCouncil's Site Based Management Plans.
- Drive operational improvements and performancereporting.
- Provide technical leadership and expert advice onwastewater operations.
- Monitor plant performance through SCADA systems anddata analysis.
- Manage operational budgets and resourceallocation.
- Support the ongoing development and capability ofoperational staff.

About You

You will be a collaborative and proactive leader withexperience in wastewater operations and a commitment to safety,environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.

To be successful, you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, EnvironmentalStudies, Science, or a related field, or significantequivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in wastewater treatment,pumping and distribution systems.
- Robust leadership, operational planning andproblem-solving skills.
- Experience interpreting and analysing operational datathrough SCADA and reporting systems.




- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagementskills.
- A current Queensland "C" Class Driver's Licence.
