BCA Consultant/ Waterproofing Consultant

Structability is a well-established, multi-disciplinary Consulting Engineering/ Building Design firm based in Southern Sydney.

Our firm primarily specialises in the architectural, structural and civil design of residential buildings. The majority of work will relate to rectification/remediation of existing buildings that have been damaged by fires, tree impacts and vehicle impacts.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven BCA Consultant to join our Expert Review Team.

The role offers a broad range of training across numerous building types and structures throughout NSW and ACT, with offices in Sydney, Newcastle and Melbourne.

Requirements





Key Responsibilities

- Inspections of existing structures to identify and suggest appropriate upgrading regimes to comply with BCA requirements.
- Internal design review function to assist Building Designers for compliance of designs against the BCA, including
- Health and Amenity
- Access / Egress;
- Services
- Bushfire compliance of numerous building classifications
- Development of Performance Solution Reports to satisfy the Performance Requirements of the BCA.

Specific Skills & Attributes

- Robust technical report‑writing skills with excellent written English.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical capability.
- Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement and site inspections.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC and industry best practice.
