Summary:
The Research Managerwillwork closely with the Medical Director and staff to manage assessment,developmentand coordination of research projects acrossDerbarl.The position collaboratives with management and staff, and external researchers tofacilitatethedevelopment, assessment, resource allocations, adoption, implementation,monitoringand evaluation ofDerbarlapproved research projects.The position also supports the Research Sub-Committee of the Board.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving innovation and fostering collaboration within the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Under the strategic direction of the research Sub-Committee of theDerbarlboard, lead and manage all research activities acrossDerbarl.
- Develop, implement,monitorand maintain systems and processes to supportDerbarlresearch coordination.
- Maintain the research project database and document filingsystem.
- In consultation with the Medical Director, manage and implementDerbalresearch policy andprotocols.
- Mentor and support newDerbarlresearchers especially the training and development of Aboriginalresearchers.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements in all research activities.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary degree atmaster'slevel or above in health or social sciences withasignificant researchcomponent.
- Demonstrated strength in written and verbal communication.
- Experience in project management and ability tomaintainoversight over a board range of projects.
- Strong researcher technical skills in either quantitative or qualitative research with a positive understanding of both.
- Extensive experience designing,implementingand evaluating research projects including input and review of ethics applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders tomonitorand facilitate project implementation, including manage operational relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Satisfactory National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
- Valid WA Driver's Licence
- Successful Pre-employment health assessment
