Where you'll be working

The Western Area Adolescent Team provides specialised youth health services that support the health and wellbeing of young people across Western Sydney. As part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will be the welcoming face and voice of the service, helping young people, families, community members and healthcare professionals access the support they need.

What you'll be doing

As the Administration Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of Youth Health Services. You will provide professional reception, switchboard and administrative support while maintaining accurate health records and delivering exceptional customer service to a diverse range of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

- Delivering high-quality reception services and managing a busy switchboard as the first point of contact for clients, families and visitors
- Coordinating appointments, maintaining correspondence, preparing documentation and providing administrative support to multidisciplinary teams




- Managing client health records, data entry and record systems in accordance with NSW Health policies and confidentiality requirements
- Supporting operational functions including ordering supplies, fleet-related administration, work requests and general office coordination
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives, team activities and the ongoing delivery of safe, efficient and responsive youth health services

1. Previous reception and customer service experience and hold or willing to undertake a Cert III in Health Administration
2. Demonstrated professional communication skills written and verbal
3. A commitment to working with young people and their families
4. Demonstrated excellent computer skills with strong processing and data systems experience
5. Excellent administration skills including filing, minute taking agenda preparation and photocopying
6. An ability to work both independently as well as in a team
7. Well-developed organizational skills, using time management strategies
8. Hold a current drivers licence valid in Australia and willingness to use for work purposes.
