Senior Review and Assurance Officer
Full time Temporary with a Possibility of Permanency

Details: Are you an experienced investigator and quality assurance professional with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering quality outcomes? Housing ACT is seeking a Senior Review and Assurance Officer to play a key role in supporting the Assurance and Review team and contributing to the delivery of high-quality services across the organisation.
In this challenging and rewarding role, you will manage a caseload of complex and high-level complaints and reviewable decisions, including matters relating to eligibility, waitlist categories, transfers and rental rebates. You will use your strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills to investigate, interpret and evaluate information, make sound recommendations and deliver fair and transparent outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Working collaboratively across the ARC team and wider organisation, you will coordinate and implement quality assurance activities and projects, provide expert advice on quality assurance risks and opportunities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Housing ACT. You will prepare complex correspondence, reports and submissions, support the implementation of recommendations arising from assurance and external review activities, and ensure effective management of the team's administrative functions.
As a senior member of the team, you will quality assure investigations and recommendations, provide guidance and training to staff, contribute to policy development and process improvement, and supervise team members to support capability development and service excellence.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

- Desirable skills include experience in assurance activities, drafting Government correspondence, and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- This position requires a pre-employment medical.
- As this role is likely to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and young people, cultural awareness, the capacity to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is highly desirable.

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately until 2 March 2027 with the possibility of permanency.

Selection will be based on a written application, referee reports and as necessary, an interview.

A merit pool may be established from this selection process to be used to fill vacancies for this role over the next 12 months.
