We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our engineering team in Camperdown for leave cover.

Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce components according to specifications

- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate machining
n
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards
n
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment
n
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise manufacturing processes
n
- Maintain a clean and safe working workplace in compliance with health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

n

n
- Completion of a relevant vocational qualification in machining or engineering
n
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in a contract role
n




- Strong understanding of CNC programming and operation
n
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
n
- Familiarity with quality control processes and tools
n
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
n
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
n
- This position is suited to an experienced, hands-on CNC Machinist who is comfortable working autonomously. The successful candidate will operate a SYIL X9 CNC mill with Siemens 828D controls, producing primarily prototype and small-batch components to standard machining tolerances across a range of materials. At Plasmaleap, engineering, machining, fabrication, and assembly happen side by side. We are looking for someone who thrives in a startup environment, enjoys variety in their work, and is willing to take ownership beyond a narrowly defined job description. The successful candidate will receive guidance and support during the first week to help them get up to speed.
