About the opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Finance and Payroll Officer tojoin our finance team on a full-time basis (38 hours per week) based inFortitude Valley. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this role isresponsible for managing accurate fortnightly payroll operations whileproviding essential, high-level support across broader finance functions underrelevant modern awards (including SCHADS, Nursing, and Health ProfessionalsAwards).

About you

You will bring previous experience in a similar finance orpayroll role, demonstrating the ability to independently manage:

- Payroll Operations & Compliance: End-to-end fortnightly payroll processing, salary sacrificing, payrolladjustments, back pays, final pays, allowances, and statutory compliance (PAYG,superannuation, QLeave obligations, EOFY, and Income Statement finalisation) inclose collaboration with HR.
- Coding, Reconciliation & Reporting: Accurate coding of wages, general ledger reconciliations, investigatingvariances, reviewing travel kilometre submissions, and producing wage costanalysis and financial reports.
- Finance & Audit Support: Reliablesupport for accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, petty cash,month-end balance sheet reconciliations, vouchers, and tax-deductible donationreceipts, while assisting with continuous workflow improvements and audits.

What you will need

- Diploma-level qualification in accounting,business, or bookkeeping,



or an equivalent combination of relevant experienceand specialist payroll training.
- Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end payrollprocessing, modern awards, and employment legislation.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting andpayroll systems (such as SAP Business One and HR3) paired with advancedMicrosoft Excel skills.
- High attention to detail, strong analyticalproblem-solving skills, and the ability to exercise sound, independent judgmentwith minimal direct supervision.
- A current Queensland Class C Driver's Licence.
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (YellowCard / Positive Notice), or willingness to obtain.
- Desirable - Previous experience workingwithin the NFP or community services sector.
