Job Description

Join a fast-paced commercial law practice in a senior legal support role working closely with our Managing Partner and Head of Corporate & Commercial. This role is for someone who enjoys being fully immersed in matters, taking ownership, anticipating what needs to be done and playing an active role in achieving the best outcomes for clients.

Key responsibilities

n

Prepare and manage legal documents, correspondence and transaction documentation

n

Coordinate property, leasing and commercial matters, including key dates, conditions and settlements

n

Manage client files, electronic records, conflicts, AML requirements and matter workflows

n

Liaise confidently with clients, solicitors and third parties

n

Manage diaries, meetings, billing, time recording and general administration

n

Coordinate execution of documents through DocuSign and maintain accurate transaction records

n

Prepare and amend commercial documentation including share sale agreements, business sale agreements, shareholder agreements, trust deeds and other transactional documents

n





Assist with settlement requirements and transaction implementation

n

Undertake title, rates and planning searches through InfoTrack

n

Prepare verification of identity documentation

n

About you

n

An experienced Senior Legal Assistant with strong commercial law experience and experience in property and/or leasing law

n

Highly organised, proactive and able to anticipate what is required

n

Comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

n

Confident working independently while closely supporting a Partner

n

Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, proficiency in Track Changes, and legal systems such as Affinity

n

Experienced with InfoTrack, DocuSign and electronic file management

n

Qualified, client-focused and able to exercise sound judgement and confidentiality

n

Conveyancing, PEXA, Duties Online and lease drafting experience would be highly regarded, although training can be provided
