- Work in a quick-paced healthcare environment supporting patient care and clinical services
- Contribute to the transition and management of electronic and hybrid health records
- Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams across the hospital
- Develop your expertise in health information, records management and digital document workflows
- Be supported through team training and opportunities to build capability across HIRS functions
What you'll be doing
As a HIRS Officer, you’ll play an important role in maintaining the integrity, accessibility and timely availability of clinical information. You’ll combine strong attention to detail with efficient digital and records management practices.
- Sort, prepare, scan, quality-check and validate paper clinical records for digitisation
- Upload electronic and paper-based clinical documentation into the electronic medical record
- Retrieve, track, file and manage healthcare records, including off-site storage requests and destruction processes
- Maintain accurate electronic tracking and ensure records are available for clinical care, coding, research and other authorised purposes
- Deliver responsive customer service, meet productivity and quality KPIs, maintain confidentiality and support the wider HIRS team
