Position Information

The role of the Transition Support Teacher, Early Intervention, is based at Bass Hill Public School. The Transition Support Teacher, Early Intervention, provides support across a number of Principal Networks. The Transition Support Teacher, Early Intervention, provides strong and successful transitions for children with additional support needs.

Bass Hill Public School is a dynamic school, delivering primary education from Pre-school to Year 6. Bass Hill Public School is located in the inner south west of metropolitan Sydney, and was established in 1923. Bass Hill Public School has a proud history of public education, designing learning to meet the needs of our 350 students. Selection Criteria

- Approval to teach with proven experience and knowledge in early intervention,



with the ability to design and implement individualised transition planning to support families and enable the successful transition of students with additional support needs into a formal education setting.
- Ability to work effectively with high levels of emotional intelligence in collaboration with all stakeholders to coordinate holistic transition planning. Proven exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build partnerships and advocate for student needs.
- Exceptional organisational skills with demonstrated capacity to lead stakeholders toward a strengths-based approach to instructional adjustments and transition planning, ensuring positive student outcomes.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
