Are you an experienced commercial and contract management professional who enjoys leading strategic initiatives, building strong supplier relationships and delivering outcomes that make a real difference?

The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) is seeking a Program Manager, Commercial Performance to lead the development and management of commercial strategies, contracts and supplier performance arrangements that support Bushfire and Forest Services operations.

As a Program Manager, Commercial Performance, you will provide expert commercial advice, lead complex contract negotiations and drive continuous improvement across the contract lifecycle. You will play a key role in ensuring commercial arrangements are practical, compliant and aligned with operational requirements in both business-as-usual and emergency management environments.

You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team that values safety, integrity, readiness and continuous improvement.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

- Tertiary qualification in commerce, business, procurement, law, contract management or a related discipline is desirable,



or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience providing commercial and contract management advice across a portfolio of suppliers, including drafting, reviewing and interpreting contract terms, schedules and associated documentation.
- Proven experience managing commercial arrangements across the contract lifecycle, including ensuring value for money is achieved and sustained.
- Proven understanding of and significant exposure to procurement and contract management frameworks, governance, delegations and record-keeping requirements, with demonstrated ability to maintain audit-ready contract registers and documentation.
- Forklift licence may be required.
- A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within Victoria are required.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is Kyle Road, Altona North with hybrid work arrangements available.

Preferred candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening, including a Declaration and Consent form and a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
